Arching from the single-family radio to portable transistors, to large speakers and amplifiers, to mp3s and streaming, we can witness and feel music’s central role in our lives. I remember 30 years ago realizing that there was a special room in my brain–much more dependable than people–for providing me with nurturing and satisfaction.
Of course, I can only sample some of the numerous lyrics that affected me personally and reflected the many themes and issues of the Baby Boomers. Every reader will remember other worthy examples that I could have included. It would take another book to provide comprehensive coverage of every performer who contributed to this exciting musical tsunami. So, when the book is released, you can slide down the treble scale and let the notes move You and all of us.
